The “Cenacolo della Musica – International School” is glad to welcome to its premises World-class musicians from Germany - Andreas Frölich, piano (Professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln – Aachen, guest professor at the International Summer academy Mozarteum Salzburg, prizewinner of several international piano competitions, as in Senigallia, Finale Ligure, Milano, Vienna, who gives solo concerts and concerts with chamber orchestras and orchestras all around the world and Alexander Hülshoff, cello (Professor of Cello at the Folkwang University of the Arts, one of the leading cellists whose interpretations are distinguished for their expressiveness coupled with an unmistakable, warm and lyrical tone, which are much appreciated by audiences and musical partners alike and are his outstanding qualities on the world's concert platforms). Both musicians are coming to Abruzzo to give masterclasses to young musicians from 30 April to 2 May 2016 at the International Academy of Cenacolo in Catignano (PE).


The concert “Cello & Piano Duo - Alexander Hülshoff & Andreas Frölich” within the series “The Greatest Musicians” will be held on the 30 April 2016 at 18.00 at the Auditorium of Scuola Civica Musicale San Giovanni Teatino. The Entrance fees: € 10 – Adults, FREE for Children under 12 years of age.

BIOGRAPHY - Andreas Frölich / Piano
German pianist Andreas Frölich studied with Stefan Askenase, Vtaly Margulis and Pavel Gililov. He was prizewinner of several international piano competitions, as in Senigallia, Finale Ligure, Milano, Vienna.... He concertises in the most famous venues in Europe, South America, Asia, South Africa and Australia like Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Musikverein Wien, Solitär Salzburg, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Cologne Philharmonie, Munich Philharmonie "Gasteig",Konzerthaus Berlin, Hamburg Musikhalle, Bielefeld Oetkerhalle, Stuttgart Liederhalle, Wiesbaden Kurhaus, Teatro municipal Rio de Janeiro, Teatro Alfa y Cultura artistica Sao Paolo, de Doelen Rotterdam , Vredenburg Utrecht, Salle Gaveau Paris,Caroussel de Louvre Paris, Mozarteum Salzburg,  Musikverein  Wien and many others as well as in the most important music fertivals , such as Rheingau Musikfestival, Schleswig Holstein Musikfestival, Salzburg Emilia  Romagna Festival, Schubertiade Roskilde and many other Festivals worldwide.As a soloist Andreas Frölich appeared with many famous orchestras, among them Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Wiener Kammerphilharmonie, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, Münchener Kammerorchester, Colegium instrumentale Halle, Beethoven Orchester Bonn, Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz, Klassische Philharmonie Bonn, Würtembergisches Kammerorchester, Suk Chamber orchestra Prag, orquesta sinfonica de Monterrey /Mexico, Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Johannesburg Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Russian Philharmonic Moskau, Radio Symphonique Luxembourg, Lutoslawski Philharmonie Wroclav, Stettin Philharmonic, Orchestre de Bretagne ,Concerto Málaga, Thüringer Philharmoniker, Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester Mannheim, Joenssu sinfonic / Finnland, Kuopio symphonic orchestra/ Finnland, Kyimi Sinfonietta Finnland, Talinn chamber orchestra, Israel camerata, Kammerphilharmonie Amadé, Philharmonic orchestra of Europe, Heidelberger Sinfoniker, Vogtland Philharmonie, National Philharmonic of Peru, Orchestre de Caen /France .....Andreas Frölich is pianist of the Mendelssohn Trio Berlin and he often performed with Ensemble Wien led by the concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic. He recorded for many national (in Germany) and international radio stations and released more than 40 CD´s (a number of them award winning) for different labels like OEHMS CLASSICS, CPO, EMI, BMG, Divox, Signum, Fono. Andreas Frölich is artistic director and co/chairman of the international MozArte piano competition Aachen, artistic director of the "MozArte " international music Festival and artistic leader of the "Orpheo concert series " for young prizewinners in Kerkrade/NL.Since October 2014 artistic director of the International ClaviCologne Piano Festival and Competition. He is professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln - Aachen and guest professor at the International Summeracademy Mozarteum Salzburg, the International Holland music Sessions and the International Talent Music Masters Academy in Brescia - Verona /Italy and he gives many masterclasses worldwide. In the last years his students won more than 50 prizes (first and second) at international piano competitions.He is often invited as jury member in many international piano competitions (Madrid, Beethoven competition Bonn, Valencia, Ferrol, Granada, Enschede/NL, Brussels, Campillos, Larnaca/Cyprus, Skrjabin Grosseto, Hongkong /Guanghzhou)

Alexander Hülshoff has established himself in recent years as one of the leading cellists. His interpretations are distinguished for their expressiveness coupled with an unmistakable, warm and lyrical tone, which are much appreciated by audiences and musical partners alike and are his outstanding qualities on the world's concert platforms. He is guest soloist with major international orchestras such as the German Radio Philharmonic, the German State Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic of Brno, the New Philharmonic of Westphalia, Rom Symphony Orchestra, the Enescu Philharmonic, the Tel Aviv Soloist Ensemble, the Limburg Symphony Orchestra of Maastricht, the Armenian Philharmonic and many others.Chamber music plays a significant role and has an important place in Alexander Hülshoff's work. His cello performances include appearances with the Bamberg Trio and fellow musicians such as Pinchas Zukerman, Hagai Shaham, Vadim Gluzman, Fine Arts Quartett, Gil Sharon, Rainer Honeck, Boris Garlitsky in renowned concert halls such as the Berliner Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Rotterdam's De Doelen and the Wigmore Hall in London. He has been guest instrumentalist at the Schleswig Holstein Festival, the Enescu Festival, Kfar Blum in Israel and the Amadéo Festival. He is artistic director of the Kloster Kamp Chamber Music Festival.Numerous CD's testify to the breadth of his musical scope, which includes works by, amongst others, Brahms, Beethoven, Schubert, Shostakovitch, Bloch and Servais. His recordings are released under the Novalis, Naxos, Musicaphon,Paladino, Brillant and Hänssler ClassicHis concert tours regularly take him to other European countries, the Near, Middle and Far East as well as to Asia and North and South America.In 1997 Alexander Hülshoff, whose most important teacher was Lynn Harrell, was appointed Professor of Cello at the Folkwang University of the Arts.
